| Andrew Braccia |
Andrew Braccia joined Accel in 2007 bringing with him a decade of operational and leadership experience. His primary areas of investment interest include Consumer Internet and Software businesses with a focus on web search, digital media, online gaming and online advertising. Andrew currently sits on the board of Cloudera, the distributor of the popular Apache Hadoop open source software package, OpenX, the world's leading Open Source Ad Server, High Gear Media, a next generation automotive content and advertising network, SB Nation, the fastest growing network of sports communities, and TRUSTe, the leading internet privacy services provider, Tiny Speck, the maker of the online game Glitch, Squarespace, a premier web publishing platform, 99designs, an online marketplace for crowdsourced graphic design, Kekanto, a Brazilian online marketplace for user reviews and recommendations, and Prezi, a cloud-based presentation software. Andrew also was part of the team that led Accel’s investment in Ozforex, an online foreign exchange payments platform, and helps spearhead Accel's investment activity in the FB Fund.
Prior to Accel, Andrew held a variety of executive positions in business development, general management and operations over a decade long career at Yahoo! Prior to his departure, he was responsible for running the Search and Marketplace group which included Web Search, Flickr, Yahoo! Answers, and Yahoo!’s commerce properties (Yahoo! Shopping, Yahoo! Travel, Yahoo! Real Estate, and Yahoo! Autos). Andrew also played a significant role in the acquisition and integration of several companies, including Del.icio.us, Inktomi, Overture, Alta Vista, and FAST.
Andrew graduated from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. And currently serves on the National Board of Advisors for DonorsChoose.org an online charity connecting donors to teachers and students in need.
