Bruce Golden
Bruce Golden joined Accel Partners in 1997 and primarily focuses on investments in enterprise software and internet companies, with a particular interest in data management, analytic software, SaaS and Open Source software companies. Bruce is passionate about working with entrepreneurs in the earliest phases of company formation and has helped develop several companies from first venture investment to NASDAQ IPO, including comScore (SCOR), Responsys (MKTG), and Support.com (SPRT). In 2004, Bruce led Accel’s investment in Qliktech, and is currently Chairman of the Board of Directors. Qliktech went public on NASDAQ in July 2010, and Accel’s investment is one of the largest venture returns of any European originated company in history. Bruce was named by Forbes in their 2011 Midas list of the top 100 venture investors. Bruce has been an active investor in both the US and Europe and has a deep appreciation for helping companies create category defining businesses that span multiple countries.

Bruce currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors at several private and public companies, including Amobee, MindCandy, Qliktech (QLIK - NASDAQ), Responsys (MKTG-NASDAQ) and Streambase. Bruce was also responsible for Accel's investment in Ajuba Solutions (acquired by Interwoven, Inc.), comScore (SCOR), Dapper (acquired by Yahoo), eCommerce Industries Inc. (acquired by Insight Venture Partners), Exchange.com (acquired by Amazon.com), Itemfield (acquired by Informatica), Offermatica (acquired by Omniture), and Support.com (SPRT - NASDAQ).

Prior to Accel, Bruce held executive marketing and sales positions at Illustra Information Technologies, a pioneer in the area of object-relational databases. In 1996 Illustra merged with Informix Software, where Bruce became General Manager of the Data Warehouse Business Development Unit. Prior to Illustra, Bruce spent eight years at Sun Microsystems in a variety of leadership roles, including launching Sun's efforts into the financial services market, moving to Hong Kong to help establish the Sun Asia subsidiary, and managing the market development organization.

Bruce is an active member of the World Economic Forum and is on the Selection Committee of the WEF Technology Pioneers Programme.

Bruce holds an MBA from Stanford and a BA from Columbia University. Bruce currently lives in London with his wife and two children.
