Krish Ramakrishnan
Krish Ramakrishnan joined Accel Partners as Entrepreneur in Residence in September 2008 where he is responsible for evaluating and developing investment opportunities around interactive video encompassing conferencing, collaboration and real time video transmission. His career record thus far includes growing two companies from their infancy and leading them through successful acquisitions.

Prior to Accel, he was the general manager for the Server Virtualization business unit at Cisco Systems. The business unit was responsible for architecting datacenter virtualization and automation solution. In addition to datacenter automation Krish was responsible for low latency server fabric solutions based on the InfiniBand technology.

Krish was previously the CEO of Topspin Communications from 2001 to 2005. Under his stewardship, company re-invented itself as a datacenter virtualization player, capitalizing on the trend of Scale-Out computing. Topspin had successive quarters of revenue growth and was acquired by Cisco in 2005.

From 1995 to 2001, Krish was responsible for developing content networking strategies and products for Cisco Systems. He was appointed as vice president and general manager for the Content Business Unit. Under his leadership, Cisco developed many industry-leading products including L4-L7 load balancers, content caches, CDN and micro-webservers.

Krish was the co-founder of Internet Junction where he served as its President. Cisco Systems acquired Internet Junction in 1995. Internet Junction developed products to connect Netware networks to the Internet.

Krish has worked for NET, PeerLogic, Bell Labs and Perkin-Elmer. He has MSCS from Monmouth University and BS (Physics) from Madras University, India.
