Jonathan Siegel
Jonathan has been active in technology start-ups, services and angel investing for 12 years. Jonathan joined Accel in 2010 and focuses primarily on seed investment opportunities in the cloud computing, ecommerce, and SaaS sectors.
Prior to joining Accel, Jonathan spent 10 years as the founder of ELC Technologies (acquired in 2010 by PriceGrabber’s Kamran Pourzanjani).
While at ELC Technologies, Jonathan founded three Ruby on Rails product businesses: RightScale.com, RightSignature.com and RightCart.com. RightScale is a leading cloud computing management platform. RightSignature is a profitable SaaS business serving marquee clients such as Farmer’s Insurance, Second Market Equities and the American Bar Association. RightCart.com was founded as a copy and paste shopping cart platform that outperformed CPM and CPC units for monetizing product-related content sites. RightCart.com was acquired by Buy.com in 2007.
Jonathan speaks frequently on the startup culture and cloud computing. He has been on Amazon’s Web Services customer advisory board since 2008.
Education
Jonathan graduated with degrees in Physics and Computer Science from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
