Sven Schmidt
Sven is a Venture Partner focused on Internet, digital media and services businesses, primarily in Germany. Prior to joining Accel Sven was a Venture Partner with Earlybird Venture Capital where he led their investment in Mikini Media.
Sven co-founded venture-backed Verwandt, which was sold to Accel portfolio company MyHeritage. He also was the co-founder of Getgo.de, a venture-backed e-commerce ticketing company that was sold to CTS Eventim, where he was head of the New Media division.
Sven started his career at McKinsey in Düsseldorf.
Education
Sven studied business administration in Germany and in the U.S. where he graduated with a Diplom-Kaufmann degree as well as an MBA.
