[source: Ping Li] Today, Cloudera became a publicly-traded company. It’s another milestone in the company’s 9-year history, and it’s a momentous one. We’ve been the initial investors in hundreds of startups over 35 years, so we appreciate how hard it is to build one that makes it to this point. It takes a trifecta of large markets, powerful products, and a determined team — all mixing at just the right time. Clouderans should take immense pride in the fact that — against all odds — they’ve built such a meaningful company in the big data space. We’re proud to have been there at the start.
