The most important professional conversations and the best ideas rarely happen in front of a screen. They happen in the moments between meetings, over the phone, and across tables. Yet many of the tools we rely on to capture them were designed for a desk-bound world that doesn't reflect how most people actually work. This means follow-ups are forgotten, information stays siloed, and great ideas can slip away.

[Pocket](https://heypocket.com/) was built to solve this. [Akshay Narisetti](https://www.linkedin.com/in/akshaynarisetti/) and [Gabriel Dymowski](https://www.linkedin.com/in/gabrieldymowski/) founded the company in late 2024, launching with a piece of hardware that can clip to the back of your phone. Elegant enough that you don’t have to remember to bring it with you and capable enough that it captures everything you need it to. Pocket captures conversations and ideas, and delivers transcripts, summaries, to-do’s, and a searchable archive. From the beginning, this team has built the product with security and privacy in mind.It only records when users explicitly opt in. It's HIPAA and SOC 2-compliant, uses end-to-end encryption, and never trains models on customer data, reflecting where this product will live: in hospitals, in law offices, in sales calls.

The demand for a device like Pocket was clear early on. The company initially gained traction following the release of a concept video toward the end of 2024.This video resulted in thousands of pre-orders, and went on to become the most-watched launch of the Y Combinator Winter 2026 cohort. Pocket officially launched in October 2025, shipping more than 10,000 devices to customers on launch day.

Enthusiasm for the product has rapidly expanded since then, with users including a wide range of professionals—doctors, real estate agents, salespeople, and lawyers, to name a few. The company has built strong demand among prosumers and enterprise customers, including DoorDash, and continued rapid month-over-month growth, reaching 50%+ in several months. By March 2026, Pocket had reached a $27 million annualized revenue run rate and shipped more 35,000 devices.

From the beginning, Akshay and Gabriel had a strong point of view on the type of device they wanted to design—elegant, functional, and unobtrusive—and why they wanted to make it: to help people be more present while their conversations are preserved. That conviction is evident in how they build. Their obsession with product runs through every surface: the design, the packaging, the app, the way summaries are structured. Nothing is accidental. This is a team that thinks about the end-to-end customer experience the way great consumer companies do.

Even at the early stages, this clarity of vision has come through in the user feedback. Pocket customers describe how the device saves them time, improves their job performance, and already feels like something they can’t live without.

Today, we announced we’re participating in their seed investment. We’re excited to support the team in reimagining the way people reflect, recall, and work. Welcome to the Accel family, Pocket!
