SpaceX + Cursor: It is so, so early

Congratulations to Michael Truell, Aman Sanger, Sualeh Asif, and the historically talented Cursor team on today’s acquisition by SpaceX. Thank you for letting us be your partners on this meteoric journey.

At Accel, we get to work with many of the world’s brightest and most ambitious entrepreneurs. Each has their own style and talents, shaping each company in its own distinctive way. Michael is the rare Founder who spikes on two unique dimensions: intensity and kindness. Working with him is an absolute pleasure.

Much will be said about Cursor: how it brought to life the first killer app in AI, how it set the standard for talent density and the pace of execution in the modern technology era. And, how it confidently trudged through the misguided insistence from the pundits that “Cursor is dead”—right up to the point of becoming the single most valuable private acquisition in history.

Of all the things to say, the only message we have is simple and heartfelt: thank you, from the entire Accel family.
