Today BrowserStack is announcing its $200mm Series B and Accel is excited to support Ritesh Arora, Nakul Aggarwal, and the entire BrowserStack team.

Accel first partnered with BrowserStack in 2018 as the first investor in the company. Up until this point, Ritesh and Nakul spent six years bootstrapping the business without any outside investment.

At the core of our 2018 investment was the organic, widespread adoption of BrowserStack within the developer community.  While software testing responsibilities have historically been thrown over the wall to siloed QA teams, Browserstack has helped over 4 million developers at more than 50,000 organizations “shift left” in their testing practices. With BrowserStack, developers accelerate and automate their tests -- which brings the testing process closer to the build process in the software development lifecycle.

This developer-first approach has been a common theme across our portfolio, including Algolia, Atlassian, MessageBird, Mux, Segment and Sentry.

As the company has grown, BrowserStack has been able to parlay its leadership among developers into the enterprise, with customers like Google, Amazon, Microsoft, Twitter, Spotify and Expedia.  In just a few years, we’ve watched BrowserStack establish itself as the breakout leader in software & application testing and are excited to be a partner for the journey.
