Barath Shankar Subramanian joined Accel in 2012, and as a partner focuses on early-stage startups across the B2B, SaaS, consumer, healthcare, and fintech spaces.
He led investments and sits on the board of companies like Captain Fresh, Jiraaf, Detect Technologies, Ripik, Jetapult, Venwiz, Mirana, Portea, and Consure, among others.
He also led Accel’s Industry 5.0 cohort for the firm’s accelerator program, Atoms, as part of which he invested in pre-seed B2B startups.
Prior to joining Accel, Barath was a senior consultant at Frost & Sullivan UK, where he covered the healthcare and life sciences domains across North America, Europe, and Asia. He has a bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy from BITS, Pilani, and an MBA from Carnegie Mellon University.
