Leading Armadin’s Series A: Building the Industry’s First AI-Native Offensive Cyber Platform

Today, we are thrilled to announce that Accel is leading the Series A for Armadin. We are partnering with Kevin Mandia and Travis Lanham to realize their vision: delivering the industry’s first AI-native offensive cyber platform to protect enterprises and governments from a new wave of rapid, AI-generated attacks.
Kevin is a true pioneer. From his early days as a computer security officer at the Pentagon in the 90s to founding Mandiant, Kevin has been the thought leader CEOs call during their darkest hours. At Accel, we’ve been fortunate to watch his impact on the industry for years, often alongside fellow Accel-backed founders and CEOs like George Kurtz (CrowdStrike) during their time together at Foundstone, and Amit Yoran (Tenable) from his early government security initiatives.
When the founding team approached us with Armadin, the fit couldn’t have been more compelling. This is the only team with the collective battle scars and technical foresight to build "the ultimate attacker" required to secure the modern enterprise in this threatening AI landscape.
Cybersecurity is facing an unprecedented asymmetry. As AI enables adversaries to move faster and strike with more precision, traditional, human-in-the-loop defenses are no longer enough to hold the line. The only path forward is autonomous protection.
Armadin maps an enterprise’s entire attack surface into a real-time knowledge graph. This allows for precise vulnerability prioritization, preemptive remediation, and, most importantly, continuous, automated protection. Armadin doesn't just provide visibility; it creates an industry-first cyber system of record that answers the most pressing question in any organization: "Are we secure right now?"
In this new landscape, a layered defense is necessary but insufficient. Armadin proves that the best offense is, indeed, the best defense.
Welcome to the Accel family, Armadin.
