ServiceNow + Veza: Identity Security’s Next Chapter

ServiceNow announced today that it is acquiring Veza. This partnership is a significant milestone not just for Veza, but for the identity security industry it helped to define and the beginning of an exciting new chapter for this remarkable team.
Veza was founded in 2020 on the insight that identity would become the foundation of modern security, a shift now well underway. Attackers don’t hack in now; they log in, with identity-based attacks accounting for 90% of breaches. The rise of AI agents adds both opportunity and exposure. Static access models can’t keep up, turning security into a major hurdle for enterprises attempting to use agents safely and effectively.
Veza has turned this complex challenge into a simple question: who has access to what? They understood that, at its core, identity security comes down to knowing which employees and agents can access which systems and data—and what damage they can do once they’re in. Veza’s Access Graph gives customers this clarity, mapping every identity, system, and permission across the enterprise into a single dashboard so they can quickly spot and resolve issues.
Tarun, a serial entrepreneur, has a knack for putting customers at the center, even when it means accepting tricky feedback. Early on, a single insight from a prospect reshaped how he viewed the problem Veza was solving. Tarun paid attention to the feedback and wasn’t afraid to change course. Instead, he got to work. It takes great discipline to listen closely and build deliberately, but it’s this approach that has fueled Veza’s remarkable momentum. Today, global enterprises including Wynn Resorts, Expedia, and Blackstone rely on Veza, which manages more than 30 billion access permissions worldwide.
By joining forces with ServiceNow, Veza will give customers access to a powerful combination: Veza’s unified, AI-native approach to identity security paired with ServiceNow’s AI Control Tower and agentic workflows. This offers CISOs and security teams end-to-end visibility into every identity in their organization and the data they can access. The result: better access decisions, safer organizations, and the ability to embrace agentic AI with confidence.
Thank you to Tarun, Maohua, Rob, and the whole Veza team for choosing us to be part of your journey. We can’t wait to join you for what’s next.
