Anand joined in 2010 and focuses on investments in consumer, marketplaces, and AI. He is from Chennai, India, and graduated from the University of Madras and MIT.
Get to know Anand
What was your first job?
My first job was as a math teaching assistant while attending grad school at Purdue. I discovered that I enjoyed teaching through this journey and relished this experience.
What's your go-to productivity hack?
I enjoy reading books, but I'm not a very fast reader. During COVID-19, one of the portfolio founders pushed me to try Audible, and I have been hooked since then. Now, I'm able to get through twice as many books—and that too while walking my German shepherd every day—two for one.
If you could master any skill, what would it be?
If I could, I would love to play guitar with greater proficiency. I'm a hack at it now, but I would love to get much better at it and also improve my singing skills – I enjoy doing both – though I can't say the same for the listeners.
