Bilal joined Accel in 2025 and focuses on AI and enterprise software businesses. Prior to Accel, Bilal was an investor at Goldman Sachs Growth Equity. Bilal grew up in London, and is a graduate from the London School of Economics.

What was your first job?
It was as a founder! Whilst I was at school, I built a marketplace for university admissions advice - and while at university I created a restaurant
subscription app along with two of my best friends. We ended up raising venture capital which was a cool experience, but more importantly I realised
building something other people use along with other great people is an unparalleled feeling.
Who most inspires you and why?
Honestly, it is the founders who are reshaping parts of our universe through technology. So much of human progress is directly tied to technological
breakthroughs (e.g., electricity, fertilizer, the printing press). The founders inventing and scaling these discoveries for the benefit of humanity are modern day heroes.
What would you do with an hour of unexpected free time?
I love playing squash! I love the intensity and it's almost meditative (I don't get any phone signal where I play).
