Last year, we announced that we were leading Vega’s Series A, backing the company’s effort to modernize the legacy Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) market. Since then, the Vega team’s momentum has only accelerated on their journey to redefine the boundaries of security.
Vega now works with Fortune 200 enterprises, global banks, and leading healthcare organizations – many of the most complex security environments in the world. Some use Vega alongside legacy SIEMs to unify cloud data, while others have made it their primary Security Analytics & Operations platform. In both applications, clients experience clearer visibility, deeper coverage, and faster access to security data, wherever it lives.
Founders Shay Sandler and Eli Rozen have relocated to New York to launch the company’s US commercial base while continuing to build out an impressive R&D center in Tel Aviv and establishing operations in Europe. The leadership team now includes a talented list of alumni from companies such as CrowdStrike, SentinelOne, and Monday.com, including Chief Product Officer Yonni Shelmerdine, Head of Business Operations Hadas Ofir, SVP of Sales Mike Doherty, and VP of R&D Ofir Nir. The team now numbers more than 100 employees, and they have many exciting opportunities to join.
It’s been rewarding to watch this team execute up close over the past year. When I’m visiting New York, Shay and I will often get out for runs in Central Park. There’s a notorious hill at the park's north-west end called Harlem Hill (New York City runners will know it well). One morning, we were halfway up the hill when I mentioned to Shay that I knew Vega was doing well—but that, with the opportunity ahead, I thought they could accelerate. We talked about what it would take to go faster and further. I told him: I want to make sure you have all the resources you need to make it happen, and for that, you can lean on Accel.
Today, we’re announcing that Accel is leading Vega’s Series B. To Shay, Eli, and the rest of the Vega team, we look forward to continuing the journey together, and we can’t wait to see what’s next.
