Biography

Sameer Gandhi joined Accel in 2008 and focuses on consumer, software, and services companies.

He led Accel's early investments in Bonobos (acquired by Walmart), CrowdStrike (CRWD), Diapers.com (acquired by Amazon), DJI, Dropbox (DBX), Dropcam (acquired by Google), Fictiv, Jet (acquired by Walmart), Pango, Plex, Raise, Sonatype (acquired by Vista Equity Partners), Spotify (SPOT), Venmo (acquired by Braintree/PayPal), World View, and Yapstone.

Sameer works closely with Accel’s India team and is involved in investments such as Flipkart (acquired by Walmart), BookMyShow, Cure.Fit, Freshworks, and USPL World – some of India's most prominent technology and consumer companies today. Prior to Accel, Sameer was a partner at Sequoia and led investments in companies like Barracuda Networks, Dropbox (initial seed), Gracenote, Trulia, and Sourcefire.

Sameer is from Maryland and graduated from MIT and the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
